The day after my birthday and I'm back at work looking forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow. I look back at my 55 years of life and it seems like so much was just yesterday and forever ago at the same time. May of the events seem to have taken place just right before I laid my head on the pillow to end the day yesterday while so many other events seem to be barely a glimpse over the sunset of the day. Regardless of the past, I am so very thankful for the now. I have a beautiful family made up of a mixture of personalities and ideas. It's amazing how such differences can be a glue that holds things together. That's what life is about, right? Being different, being ourselves. If we were all alike, we would be bored, roaming around searching for different because we would be tired of the same things. When it comes to relationships, we seek people that have similar interests but it's the minute inconsistencies that keep us in a state of perpetual motion. Take a moment and look at the people that surround you. Look at your similarities and differences, and then let them know you love them because that is what is asked of you. Love them - Don't judge them.
