Finished product.  20x40x 1.5 of the bridges over Tillery.

A 20 x 40 canvas printed, varnished, and frame built. After the frame is sanded, the canvas will be stretched over it and make its journey to its new home.

What are your favorite memories of Ghost Town?  Me personally, I can remember going with my mom and dad, which means it was in the 70s.  I remember riding the chair lift up but as far as the town itself, I don't remember anything.  I did look it up, and the roller coaster was added in 1988.

October 25th and 26th, the Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle hosted the Albemarle Pro Rodeo and I was there Friday night to capture the action.  In order to make it easier to view, I will post a small amount of images at several different times in order to not overwhelm.  Later, I will create an album and share them all.

Today, the @Stanly County History Center posted three photos of Margie Mauney, the organist for Central Methodist Church, at her home on N. Second Street in Albemarle.  They are beautiful pictures that I wanted to enhance a bit and add color just to see what they could have looked like through our own eyes.
